Soybean paneer tikka....

Soybean Tikia: - Healthy, high protein evening snack.

Ingredients:-

  • Soybean seeds(soaked overnight) – ½ cup
  • Grated paneer - 1/2 cup.
  • Onion – ½ finely chopped.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Red chili powder.
  • corn flour - 1 tsp.
  • Oil to deep fry.

Ø Boil the soybean with 2 cups of water.

Ø Take the whole boiled stuff in grinder and blend it.

Ø Sieve the mixture and collect the water separately (which is soybean milk and can be used as soymilk to drink, it can be drunk with sugar or lemon and salt).

Ø Collect the residue (the soybean mixture that is collected on the sieve).

Ø Add onion, grated paneer, salt to this and make small balls of 1 inch by 1 inch (1’’/1’’).

Ø Take one sp corn flour and add tsp water, mix it and add salt andl ittle red chili powder in it and use it as coating.

Ø Roll the soybean tikia in this egg and deep fry it in oil, till golden brown.

Ø Serve hot, with tamarind chutney and lettuce –cabbage-beetroot salad.

Tamarind chutney:-

Tamarinds soaked in water, mashed and keep the pulp

Salt, red chili powder as per taste

Zeera (cumin) powder ½ tsp

Sugar/Jaggery to taste.

Oil – 1 tsp

Mustard seeds 1/4tsp

Procedure:-

Mix all these and taste it for sugary and spicy taste.

Take a tsp of oil, heat it and add mustard seeds to the oil to splutter

Add this oil to the tamarind chutney.
